WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

I’m currently based in Hawaii on Kauai 

WILL YOU TRAVEL FOR A SESSION?

Yes! I love a good adventure. Travel fees do apply. I LOVE destination sessions.  These could just be an adventure elopement on Kauai or a little hop onto another island  and I also have dreams of photographing weddings across the world 

DO YOU EDIT ALL OF THE PHOTOS WE RECEIVE?

Yes! All of them. I’m a perfectionist when it comes to my vision and final product 

DO YOU PROVIDE A PRINT RELEASE?

Absolutely. You can print your photos wherever you’d like(I also give you a recommendation for a lab i trust) and you can share them anywhere your heart desires (facebook, instagram, twitter, etc).

DO YOU OFFER PRINTS OR ALBUMS?

Yes! I provide gorgeous prints and canvases of all sizes from my professional print lab. I strongly encourage my clients to print their images; there’s just something magical about seeing a physical photograph. Albums too!

WHAT’S THE NEXT STEP? HOW DO WE BOOK AND PAY? 

Send me a message on my contact page. I’ll get in touch with you as soon as I can, and we can set up a time to chat. I want to hear all about your family and the images you want captured. If you feel confident I’m the photographer for you, I require a 50% deposit of your package total, and a signed contract. I send an invoice by email that allows you to pay by debit or credit card(you can also pay by cash or check), and a digital contract you can sign and print out. Payment plans also available!

After a deposit is placed, the remainder of your package total is due the day of the shoot

and lastly We’ll schedule a consultation either in person or by phone/skype, and plan your shoot (outfits, locations, hair, makeup, etc).

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?

Call me or email as soon as you know I am the photographer for you. I typically book months in advance especially in the summer. I do leave dates open for those last minute sessions though. I love to shoot my out of town clients the second day you get to the island. This is so your not sunburned and if we need to reschedule due to rain we will have time to do so.

WHAT CAMERA EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

Nikon D850 along with a plethora of lenses. My 35 rarely leaves my camera 

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT’S RAINING?

We can either reschedule or we can be adventurous and shoot in the rain under the coconut trees:) Usually on Kauai especially on the north shore it rains once a day. Think amazing sunsets and rainbows when it rains!!!

WHAT TO WEAR FOR OUR Kauai SENIOR/FAMILY/ENGAGEMENT SHOOT?

Whatever is comfortable, fits well, and makes you feel good. You can check out tons of stylish ideas on pinterest, or google ‘what to wear for Kauai Family Photography’ for professional fashion guides.

My pro tips:

1. Don’t overdo it on the matching! There’s nothing that looks more dated than a family wearing all-white t-shirts with blue jeans. Color coordinate instead. Navy and mustard, aqua and coral, etc. Patterns can be fun too.

2. Accessorize! Jewelry, watches, jackets, scarves, headbands, and hats can take outfits to the next level.

3. For girls, painting your nails is a fun and simple way to add a pop of color.

4. Avoid shirts with logos or neon colors. They can be distracting to the eye.

5. Bring multiple outfits, or better yet, bring your entire closet! This adds variety to your images and allows us to essentially match your outfit to the location.
