Kauai had just experienced record-breaking rain and flooding, particularly on the North Shore, making some of their dream locations inaccessible. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned from photographing here for over 22 years, it’s that Kauai always has options.
Finding the Perfect Location
With flexibility and adventure in mind, we shifted our plans and found a stunning location at shipwrecks beach and the Mahalapu Heritage Trail. These locations gave them everything they were hoping for—beach, jungle, and mountains, all wrapped into one. The best part? They fully trusted the process, allowing me to use my creative eye to play with lighting, movement, and composition.
The result? A breathtaking gallery of images that encapsulated not only their love for each other but also the wild, natural beauty of Kauai.
